CSX3000 Series
Back in 1965, the legendary Carroll Shelby endeavored to produce one hundred 427 'Competition Cobra' models, falling short of his goal by 34 units. 50 years later, the Carroll Shelby Trust decided to complete the remaining 34 Competition Chassis big block Cobra race cars. True race cars, these Shelby 427 'Competition Cobras' are complete, with Iron 427 FE side-oiler engines.
In order to aid in the construction of the Shelby Automotive Museum in Los Angeles (a tax exempt 501(9)(3) non profit public benefit corporation), a portion of the sale of each of these Shelby 427 'Competition Cobra' cars will be a tax-deductible donation.
The CSX3000 series Cobra was built by the Carroll Shelby Engine Company, powered by a 429CID engine, featuring a vintage road race legal iron side-oiler 427 FE block with 4.250-inch bore, producing 550 horsepower and 540 pound-feet of torque.
